About the TLMR Lab
An interdisciplinary team of microbiologists, veterinarians, and computational biologists working together to solve critical challenges in livestock agriculture.
The Translational Livestock Microbiome Research (TLMR) Lab is located in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg, Canada. We study the microbial communities that live in and on livestock, and how they shape the health, productivity, and environmental footprint of the animals that host them.
To decode the complex interactions between livestock hosts and their resident microbiota, translating these fundamental discoveries into practical tools that improve animal health, production efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
